My name is Nisreen Hasib.
I'm the COO for Unbound. I identify as:
My mission is to make the world better for everyone, but particularly those who are most disadvantaged in our society. I love to solve big problems that affect real people and attack those issues with dynamic solutions that have measurable impact. I excel in expanding on what may be imperfect in order to affect positive change.
I am able to advocate for new ways of doing things and to ask hard questions to quickly get to the root of any issue. I believe that as a leader, my job is to make data-driven, confident decisions that are simultaneously people-centered and compassionate.
I imbue everything I do with excellence. I relish creating sustainable, practical, and efficient systems to build and scale strong and sustainable businesses and other organizations. I’ve championed and implemented processes to develop and bring products to market on tight timelines. I work diligently to recruit, mentor, and train diverse teams.
Prior to jumping into the tech world, I started my career as an attorney, kicking things off with a bang, when the case I worked on as part of the Northwestern Appellate Advocacy Center as a law student was litigated before the United States Supreme Court. Since then, I’ve worked in software and consumer goods, in leadership roles in which I served as a key advisor and leader working to ensure that the companies I worked with thrive even in challenging times.
"I think when we, and when I say we, I mean diverse people allow ourselves to be just unapologetically ambitious, we are creating space not just for ourselves. But for the folks who come after us, who will build on what we are laying the foundations for. And that is something that is deeply humbling."
